Today, I went for a Chinese Orchestra performance at Mandarin Garden, which is just beside Victoria School. I expected it to be an indoor performance, but it turned out to be an outdoor performance.
The residents in Mandarin Garden were having some sort of party. Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong was the Guest-of-Honor, but I did not see him. Maybe he went there later. By the way, I played the cello. I know it is a Western instrument, but I wonder why it is in the Chinese Orchestra. Most of the songs we played were Chinese New Year songs, but we played one English song, which is the “Rhythm of the Rain”. It is quite a nice song. The performance went on very smoothly; I think the residents there enjoyed it. The problem while performing was, the winds kept blowing our scores off the score-stands.
After a tiring day of practices and performance, we were rewarded with some pizza to eat because we did not have our dinner. When I reach home, I took a bath and went to sleep. It was such a tiring day.

Actually, schooldays are much more fun than holidays, but I already have four projects to do at the starting of the year. There is a Literature project on making a Flash or Media Player about a poem, it is due next Tuesday. There is a Design and Technology project on making an image board and a mind map about diorama, it is due next Monday. There is an Online Project Work on Katong. And a Mathematics projects on measuring the area of the school crest outside the auditorium.
The only problem is the Chinese Orchestra is having a concert this Saturday and we are having practices everyday in this week. That leaves me no time except for Sunday to do my projects. What a busy week! I have now learnt the importance of organizing and time management. Once I have learnt how to organize my work and manage time , I will be able to face the difficulties and finish the projects on time.
There is another difficulty I am facing, the seniors in Chinese Orchestra told us to get long white pants, long-sleeved white shirt and black leather shoes within two days, I wonder how I am going to do that. All I can do now is to believe I can finish my projects on time and get all the things I need.

I just moved into my new house today. They are newly-built apartment blocks in Buangkok. Throughout last year's December holidays, I had been visiting my new house again and again to help my father inspect the house and check what the workers were doing at that time and whatever message he wanted me to pass to the contractor, I would tell him. Doing those was quite boring. But for the sake of moving into a more comfortable house, I was doing it.

Transportations are very convenient, the MRT station is right beside my block, except for taxis, but my family and I would not be taking any taxi since the price had gone up. But it takes longer time for my brother and me to go to our schools, as they are further away. This means that I have to wake up even earlier than before. My own room's furniture is moved in from my old house because they are only "one-year-old". Almost everything else in the house is new.

Actually, the area of my new house is smaller than my old house. It is 14 square meters smaller, the living room is only half of the old living room. But it is all right as long as my family and I are happy and comfortable. It was quite a tiring day on the day we were moving in, all those packing made us really hungry. So we had a nice dinner of steamboat after that, we enjoyed that moment together as a family to mark the starting of house-warming.
